My New Year's Resolution is to sketch everyday, aiming to fill up as many pages as the numeric month (so by December I'll be doing 12 pages a day!

o1 : What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?
I went on Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, and Rockin' Rollercoster for the first time! (After 17 years visiting the park, you'd think it was about time!)
o2 : Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I can't remember what I promised to do. So I wrote down what I wanted to do at the top of this journal so that I remember. xD
o3 : Did anyone close to you give birth?
Jenny did, but she wasn't one of my close friends. I'm sure some relative did too, I just can't remember.
o4 : Did anyone close to you die?
My mom's step-dad's mother (my step-great grandmother) died Dec. 19th. One of my mice died too.
o5 : What countries did you visit?
None other than my own.
o6 : What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
More books. Good ones. With happy endings.
o7 : What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory?
Nov. 19 and Dec. 16.
o8 : What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting in to my top to colleges. (Now I just have to get the scholarships to pay for one!)
o9 : What was your biggest failure?
Not drawing for nearly the entire summer (or so it felt like. Nothing productive came about.)
1o : Did you suffer illness or injury?
In Feb. I busted open my chin and got 8 stiches (my first!) and then in April I had a mole removed. That scar is soo ugly, I'm glad people can't see it.
11 : What was the best thing you bought?
I paid for half of my summer class. Got a job to pay for it and everything!
14 : Where did most of your money go?
Most recently on presents. Befor that on a phone, and before that the class.
15 : What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Getting accepted to Findlay. Bolt (the movie). Getting accpeted to Francis.
16 : What song/album will always remind you of 2008?
The Little Mermaid Original Broadway recording. God, I played that every night as I came home from work. And sang along too.
17 : Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder? Happier
Thinner or fatter? My median weight is about two/three pounds lighter than last year. OoOoh! (not that interesting)
Richer or poorer? Richer, since I have income.
18 : What do you wish you’d done more of?
Ice skating. Drawing. Talking. Participating.
19 : What do you wish you’d done less of?
Cleaning. I should just put stuff away the first time and not just move it to another spot.
2o : How did you spend Christmas?
Three days before I went to a funeral. After we had three family parties at our house.
21 : Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
Through text: my mom. Actually speaking: Kevin.
22 : Did you fall in love in 2008?
No, just got more and more annoyed with it. Yet I've read so many romance novels this year, it's not even funny.
23 : What was your favourite TV programme?
Avatar (which ended this year *so sad!*) and then House M.D.
24 : Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
No. I just don't like some people as much as I thought I would. I didn't know them very well before this year, and once I got to know them...I realized they were nice from a distance.
25 : What was the best book(s) you read?
I don't recall titles. But I did discover Shannon Hale, Christina Dodd, and Jane Austen (I really, really, really! need to read one of her books. ... They just start so slow!)
26 : What was your greatest musical discovery?
Ben Folds, YUKI, Mika. The Pride and Prejudice soundtrack.
27 : What did you want and get?
I wanted praise, and I got affection. (I'm not sure what that means, but it feels like the right thing to put down.)
28 : What did you want and not get?
I wanted a laptop, but have to wait to see school requirements.
29 : What were your favourite films of this year?
Bolt, Wall*E, Ironman, Kung Fu Panda, The Spriderwick Chronicles, Prince Caspian. I liked a lot of movies.
3o : What did you do on your birthday?
I can't remember the day, but I remember my surprise party a while after that. So sweet. Made me relize that people like me and would like to see me.
32 : How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
At the begining of the school year I had to be professional looking everyday and that kinda carried over in to the rest of the year. I got skinny jeans, don't wear tennis shoes often, wear bright colors that don't always go well together, and have too many jackets/sweaters that I don't use, but can't get rid of 'cause what if I do use one one day?!
34 : Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Kiera Knightly, Christian Bale, Robert Downey Jr., Skandar Keynes.
35 : What political issue stirred you the most?
The election and my non-participation in it (not my choice!).

Laura, Rachel, Katrina, Amber, Rita, Kiah
37 : Who was the best new person you met?
Rochelle? I wish I'd gotten to know Elliot better. Now I'm too scared to contact him.
38 : Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008.
Suck it up, but don't forget to let it out. You need to participate to be noticed (and, by extentsion, remembered). Smileing a lot hurts your face only if you don't do it often enough. Laughing alone makes you sound crazy, which you realize, and that relization make you laugh more.
